I don’t need perfect lashes

One thing I feel very strongly about is animal rights and cruelty against animals. And when it comes to animal testing it is one of the few things I can’t accept other people for having a different opinion than me. I know, that’s not very nice, but atleast I’m up front about it, lol :p

I just don’t understand how anyone can feel it’s ok to hurt an animal in the first place, and to torture one just to make yourself look good? I talked to a girl once and she just laughed at me being against animal testing “so what, I don’t care if they put some mascara into some animals eyes”. I was shocked, how she could like animals, but still care so little about them. How some, actually most, people forget that animals are living beings as well. They are worth just as much as us, don’t forget people are “animals” too, our race human is not more worth than other races. Maybe we are more intelligent, but saying we’re more worth because we’re more intelligent would be like saying a 30-year old is more worth than a 5-year old, because he/she is more intelligent.

All I’m saying is, how can people justify torturing animals for cosmetic reasons? We have the ability to test cosmetics in other ways, there is no reason for why annimals should still be tortured for our vanity. And we as consumers have a choice, we can choose not to use products tested on animals. Maybe L’Oreal really do have a mascara that make your lashes look fabulous, but if having perfect lashes means torturing an animal, I can live without it!

If your interested (and you should be) you can find lists over companies that do and don’t test their products on innocent animals here.

Hair disaster..

Lost love I colored my hair myself yesterday, I mean all by myself. I’ve done it before, twice I think, and both times were kinda unperfect. Especially the first time, I was coloring all my hair in a darker shade and I ended up having some lighter spots in it, lol :p but this time I was only doing my roots, so the color of the hair turned out nice, my hair actually looks great. It’s my face that’s kinda messed up… I got color all over it, my forehead and my cheeks, and it’s not coming off! Well, it’s not coming off fast enough. It’s amazing how good it actually sticks, I’ve scrubbed with regular soap a couple of times, and my face soap morning and evening, but there is still some left. I couldn’t even cover it completely with makeup this morning. It’s starting to come off now though, so hopefully tomorrow after I scrub my face in the morning it will be pretty much invisible…

I’m thinking this problem might be because I switched brands, they didn’t have my regular brand, but this color was pretty much identical to it, so I didn’t think it would matter. And I have made a mess with my old brand of hair color and gotten it on my face, but it was much easier to clean. I’m pretty sure I will go back to my old one next time. Oh, and I’ll get a friend to help me  I cannot wait until I’m finished with my studies, have a job, and can afford getting my hair colored professionally. I can even get highlights and a fancy cut! Oh, the possibilities!

This really was a hilarious incident, so you are allowed to laugh :p
