I love flower photography, especially macros of fowers. I don’t have a macro lens yet, so I’m just having to make do with my kit lens. But the photos do turn out pretty good even if it’s not a real macro lens
I’m planning to buy the Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM lens. I was planning to buy it in a couple of weeks, cause I’m having some money coming in, but I don’t think I can afford it after all… But there’s no harm in pracitcing with my kit lens for now, so after I went to the gym yesterday I decided to stop by the flower shop on my way home, to see if they had any nice flowers. I found a yellow and red Gerbera and bought it to practice taking flower shots
I’m pretty happy with the way they turned out, and I’m thinking of making a new layout with them. Not quite yet though, need to set up more of the site and get bored with this layout first.
And today, as the lovely Sunday it is, I went for a walk in the sunshine and took some photos of the cold weather and snow. I have realized that I love Sundays. They are so calm, no shops are open, only cafés, there are no parties to go to, just spend the day relaxing
I might not be as positive about Sundays if it hadn’t been for the fact that the past three Sundays have had really great sunny weather though
I’ve also made a new quilt layout! I’m really happy with it, it’s the first time I’ve made such an effort into the layout for my quilt. I’ve usually just had a small pop up window and used one of the free backgrounds offered at the Q*bee. But this time I decided to make a “real” layout  I also think I need to find some new smilies, they are really cute, but it’s too difficult to see the different emotions in them…

The popcorn is...

Your photos look beautiful, macro lens or not
Almost all stores are open on Sundays here! It is my only full relaxation day of the week, though… until I remember that I have to do schoolwork for tomorrow.
Like I said on the BBS, I love the layout!

The flower shot is great. I actually thought it was taken with the 60mm. I wanted to buy the 60mm once too, followed the bets on ebay a long time, yet it’s still too expensive for me. If I want a macro lens I can just to to Uni and get one
That’s great!

Wow!!! Your macro is aaaamzing. If that’s what you can take w/o a proper lens, i can’t wait to see what you’ll do when you get a proper one!
The smiles are super cute, but I think it’s just hard to see on the dark brown, maybe save them for a lighter layout?
Also! I love the new Quilt! It’s very lovely :!:
I love sundays for relaxing too ^^

The flower photo looks fantastic, i don’t even bother trying to do ‘real’ photography as my camera is good but not good enough for that, i have a hell of a time just snapping shots of my clay creations. Kodak is only good for people shots me thinks

Very pretty flower photo, especially the first one
I’m a huge fan of flower photography too. I have my sights set on a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 (or the f/1.8 will do too). It’s a prime lens, but works just as well, I’ve found.

Am I the only one who didn’t know about your comeback? I didn’t know of your new domain!
I loved the second picture. It gives me some “fresh” feelings…Watery, clean and pure. I think it’s very nice!
